Building Respectful Futures
The Heart of Push The Limit
Push The Limit was created to spread the message of inclusivity and social justice to children and educators across Australia.

Born from lived experience, the workshop was designed with one purpose - to positively influence how disability is understood within our communities.

Through engaging, age-appropriate activities and honest storytelling, children begin to see people with disabilities as capable, resilient and valued members of society.

Inclusion isn’t accidental. It’s modelled, nurtured and taught.

Meet Shanon
“I believe acceptance starts in the home and is carried forward into preschool and the later years of schooling ahead…”

Shanon was born in 1977 with spina bifida and was immediately transferred from Paddington Women’s Hospital to Prince of Wales Hospital. His parents, first-time parents, were told their son had been born with a disability and was “in a bad way.”

That moment shaped a lifelong journey of resilience and perspective.

Today, Shanon shares his lived experience to help children and educators build empathy, awareness and confidence when discussing disability in a respectful and empowering way.

His approach is open, thoughtful and practical - helping young learners focus on ability, not limitation.
