TESTIMONIALS

I was really lucky recently to receive the below testimonials / responses from some children in a local school in Year 5.
Makes what I do really worth it when I read these…

Dear Shanon,
When you came to speak to our Year 5 class he told us about not giving up. You gave us a very big talk to never stop trying even if you are getting told by all of your friends that you cannot do it. You said that when you try and you can actually do things, that you are really proud of yourself for giving things a go.

You also told us about positive thinking. You said to think about things positively and always believe the best things instead of the bad things. I try to do that now.

Dear Shanon,
Last week, you told us about when you were younger and got bullied by a lot of kids and had your wheel chair put out on the highway and you didn’t give up and stay in your room or not go to school. You did go to school and still got bullied and kept going.

I have been physically abused by a boy in my class and it didn’t’ feel good. You told us that after school the boys that bullied you at school were nice to you after school. I really like that you had the courage to say that them that they are not good friends and you decided not to be friends with them at all.
Nathan, year 5

Dear Shanon,
When you came to speak to our class, you spoke about not bullying other people. You said that in your school you were bullied a lot. You told us to be brave and stand up for yourself and don’t let other people upset you.
